Azealia Banks Boycotting Racist 'Blackamoor' Dolce & Gabbana Collection

Vogue’s First Black Cover

It’s a little known fact, but before Beverly Johnson graced the cover of American Vogue in 1974, black model Donyale Luna appeared on the March 1966 cover of British Vogue. However, she was forced to cover her mouth and nose with her hand, as editors claimed they didn’t want to scare off readers with a black model.
