“America’s Next Top Model’s” studly new judge, Rob Evans, may be trading in the catwalk for the jailhouse, as reports have revealed that Evans is wanted by police in connection with an assault and battery case.
According to TMZ, Evans, who was a boxer before his modeling days, is the prime suspect in the beating of a man in Beverly Hills in March. Police sources say that Evans beat the man so severely that he had to be taken to the hospital for his injuries.
The site also reports that Evan’s boxer past was influential in the charges being bumped up to felony assault with a deadly weapon.
A warrant was issued for Evans arrest soon after the incident, but since Evans was cooperating with police every step of the way in the case, they felt no need to track him down.
Unfortunately, police now say that Evans has halted communication with the Beverly Hills police and a special fugitive team has been sent out in search of Evans.
However, a Beverly Hills police spokesman recently spoke with E! Online and shot down assertions that there’s a special team after Evans. Although, they admit that the warrant is real, police say that they are the ones “actively” looking for Evans.
Evans is now facing is facing charges for both battery with serious injury and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury. Bail attached to the warrant was set at $150,000.
