Grammy-nominated rapper Bun B will host The Sole Drive 2012 to raise 20,000 pairs of shoes, to be donated to 20 select organizations around the world. The shoes will be distributed through a partnership with Black Celebrity Giving to those suffering from poverty and financial hardships. “As much as I love shoes, it doesn’t hold a candle to the love I have for the people of this world, especially those who can’t necessarily help themselves. Partnering with Sole Drive makes nothing but good sense to me. I’m proud to be a part of this movement.” said Bun B.
Drop of locations for donations have been set up through sf2 apparel and retail, a premier hip-hop clothing store in the city of Houston. Having locations on the North and Southside’s of Houston, sf2 serves as a convenient host for those looking to help with the cause. DJ Mars will also join in on the campaign powered by SnoBall.com as the official event and campaign DJ.
