Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has worn the richest black woman in the world title very well. With a net worth, according to Forbes magazine, of $2.7 billion, Winfrey stood as the only African American billionaire on the Forbes 2011 list of billionaires.
Her annual earnings according to Forbes were:
2012: $165 million, 2011: $290 million, 2010: $315 million, 2009: $275 million, 2008: $275 million , 2007: $260 million, 2006: $225 million , 2005: $225 million and in 2004: $210 million.
While we’ve been calculating Winfrey’s earnings, it seems that a Nigerian oil tycoon has quietly crept to the top of the list.
