A lot popped off in 2012 in celebrity-dom and celebrities added a lot of color and flavoring to our year, particularly in photos, and most especially on Instagram. After treating reporters’ microphones like a rattlesnake for the balance of her career, Beyoncé has finally found a medium through which she can come alive — other than the stage and studio — and freely express herself on the regular. And she is not alone. There were many celebrities dropping outrageous, shocking and provocative snapshots of their lives into cyberspace via Instagram, much to our benefit and delight (and even horror).
