Anne Hathaway’s show stopping song in ‘Les Miserables’ grabs Oscar’s attention

The Dark Knight Rises star, Anne Hathaway catapults her way into the annual Oscar race, with her vibrant vocals, singing the Broadway classic “I Dreamed a Dream” in Tom Hooper’s screen adaptation of Les Miserables.

Set to open in theaters on Christmas Day and possibly the blockbuster to take this holiday week, will Anne Hathaway lock into this year’s Best Supporting Actress category? – ruthie hawkins

Here what some of Hollywood’s toughest critics have to say:

“This is an unforgettable movie going experience, sure to garner multiple Oscar nominations.”

Richard Roeper, Reelz

“A productive experiment, an epic-scaled weepie, an exercise in sincere kitsch, and, perhaps too easily dismissed, a rare modern movie about the wretched poor, a traditional subject of interest at this time of year.”

Liam Lacey, Toronto Globe and Mail

“It’s worth seeing the movie for Hathaway alone.”

Lou Lumenick, The NY Post
