Frank Ocean comes out
Singer/songwriter Ocean made the world of urban music stop on a dime in the early summer when he announced his bi-sexuality via an open letter to the media posted on his blog. Whereas openly gay rock stars have been around since the 70s, Ocean’s announcement was a major moment for the hip hop/R&B audience. “I don’t have any secrets I need kept anymore,” he wrote. “I feel like a free man.”
