10 Shocking celebrity foreclosures

According to RealtyTrac, more than 1.5 million homes have been foreclosed this year in the United States, and leading the pack are  high-end homes. From 2007-2011, foreclosures increased 489 percent on homes worth more than $1 million, compared to a 105 percent foreclosure increase on homes worth under $1 million.

Here is a list of musicians, pro athletes, and reality stars that reportedly have faced foreclosure during the year, a sobering reminder to keep your mind on your money.


Nas

SunTrust Bank recently foreclosed on Nas’s two-bedroom, three-bath Georgia property.  He bought the home in 2004 for $585,000; the bank sold it for $348,000.

The bright side: Nas’s latest album, “Life is Good,” has received critical acclaim from fans and critics.
