L.A. Lakers sign Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, but struggle to win games
The L.A. Lakers had the best team on paper in the early fall of 2012. How could a team with Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol not compete for an NBA title? Somehow, the team failed to win early and fired coach Mike Brown. The team has played better lately, but they appear to be one year away from being championship contenders.
