It’s basic, nonsensical and becoming an easy target for parody. But Trinidad James’ “All Gold Everything” was the hottest song in hip-hop during the last quarter of 2012. Even detractors found themselves bouncing and singing its insatiable hook. James may never produce a song of this caliber, but its overall impact must be respected.
