Celebrities have many of the same resolutions that the rest of us do. Money and fame don’t insulate them against the insecurities, addictions, fears and aspirations that many non-famous people have.
For example, actress Jennifer Lawrence told the South African edition of Marie Claire that her New Year’s resolution is to “stand up for myself.”
“It’s hard for me,” said Lawrence, who starred as the The Hunger Games heroine Katniss Everdeen. “Nobody wants to be disliked. You always want to be polite and be nice. I tried to find a balance in saying what I mean and still being nice. I can’t do it. I have this ‘OK’ attitude and everything. I end up allowing myself to get walked over and resenting it.”
