Eleven years. That’s how long it’s been since the sassy rapper from Philadelphia has dropped an album. And that album, Eve-Olution, barely went gold. In 2002. That’s before downloading bit a hole in album sales. To say a lot has changed is an understatement. Justin Timberlake was still in N*Sync. Beyonce hadn’t released a solo album. Lip Lock will determine whether or not Eve, like so many popular female rappers before her, had a short shelf life as a popular artist.
