The classic soundtrack to the 1977 disco epic and John Travolta vehicle may be known predominantly for making the Bee Gees megastars, but there are a bevy of disco and R&B acts that turn in spectacular, era-defining music. From Kool & the Gang to Tavares to Philly soul instrumentalists MFSB, this was the biggest album of its era for a reason. (And let’s not pretend that Black folks don’t love the Bee Gees.)
