Because he released Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City in October, Kendrick Lamar missed the deadline to receive Grammy nominations in 2012. Although it’s likely that most of the nation outside of true hip-hop fans may forget about his debut in 12 months, today it stands as one of the best projects released in years. But don’t hold your breath, OutKast remains the only rap act to win the coveted Grammy for Album of the Year for Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
