Did Katy Perry just completely swipe the rug from under this smart-alecky Brit? Allen’s first two albums were packed with smart-and-sassy (bratty?) pop songs and she was one of the first post-Winehouse Brit pop stars to break through. She got married and a had a baby and then music became less of a priority. But she’s reportedly got a new album in the wings. Here’s hoping she hasn’t mellowed too much.
