Beyoncé has been the talk of the town for all of the wrong reasons this week as fans and media sites continue to debate over her alleged lip-syncing at President Barack Obama’s second presidential inauguration earlier this week. And though it’s still up in the air as to whether Beyoncé sang live or not, Milli Vanilli singer Fab Morvan, who is no stranger to lip-syncing scandals, recently came to Bey’s defense.
During an interview with TMZ, Morvan, whose Milli Vanilli group was at the center of the biggest lip-syncing scandal in music history in the early ‘90s, downplayed Beyoncé’s lip-syncing, claiming that it’s too commonplace to be controversial anymore.
“It’s hard to believe, in this day of Auto-Tune, that people are still acting surprised [by Beyoncé lip-syncing],” said Morvan.
“Everyone knows Beyoncé can sing. Everyone should just step back and relax. There are far more important things to worry about,” Morvan added. “But I can certainly relate to what she’s going through.”
