Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz set to rock Coachella 2013

The lineup for this year’s Coachella music festival has been announced and, as usual, there are a plethora of top-notch musical acts set to take the stage at the famed festival.

A year after Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg brought 2Pac back from the dead via a hologram performance that became one of the most talked-about (and parodied) musical events of the year, another legendary hip-hop act will be headlining a stage at this year’s show: the Shaolin swordsmen themselves, Wu-Tang Clan. The famed hip hop group will be performing at the Sunday shows (April 14 and 21) as will veteran rock superstars the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Generation X love stretches to include British alternative acts like the Stone Roses and Blur, as well as indie hip-hop mainstays Jurassic 5 and Aesop Rock — all slated to perform at the Friday shows (April 12 and 19.) The Saturday shows will be headlined by Phoenix, with Franz Ferdinand, 2 Chainz, Janelle Monae, Moby, Danny Brown, New Order and the Violent Femmes among the performers.

Vampire Weekend, Theophilus London, Action Bronson, and Dinosaur Jr. are also among the acts listed to perform throughout the festival.
