Look at other airports nearby. Fly into a surrounding city and drive to New Orleans. If flights into New Orleans get too pricey, check for flights to Houston (roughly six-hour drive), Memphis (six-hour drive), Gulfport, Miss., (90 minutes) or Pensacola, Fla. (three hours). Hotel stays in New Orleans over Super Bowl weekend will not be cheap — if they are available at all. Most will have a minimum-night stay. If these fares don’t put the cheese on your nachos, you can always grab a deal in another city such as Las Vegas to watch the big game.
