WBC international heavyweight champion Johnathon Banks sat down with rolling out to discuss topics that ranged from his motivation for trying to make heavyweight boxing popular again to the passing of his late legendary boxing trainer, Emanuel Steward. While growing up on the outskirts of Detroit, Banks harnessed his passion for boxing early enough to become one of the best boxers in the world. Read on to find out how he did it.

How did you first get into boxing?


I was born in love with the sport because I never wanted any other sport as badly as I wanted to be a boxer. I played peewee baseball until I was 10, but I just always craved boxing.
