Sinead O’Connor rips the Pope
The Irish singer-songwriter is one of the more outspoken artists of the last 30 years, and her most infamous and notorious moment came during an appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” when, after she sang Bob Marley’s “War,” she ripped a picture of Pope John Paul II and shouted “Fight the real enemy!” in protest of child molestation charges against the Catholic church.
