The fight–what really happened
According to Brown’s probation report, the infamous assault began over an incident at an industry party. Los Angeles Police detective DeShon Andrews said in 2009 that the incident began when “Rihanna found a text message on his cell phone from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.”
The pair argued inside the rented Lamborghini, and Brown punched Rihanna numerous times and put her in a head lock, restricted her breathing and caused her to start to lose consciousness. He threatened to beat her and kill her, according to the statement, and then he bit her ear and her fingers.
