The Vegas bookmakers think New Orleans-native Frank Ocean is about to have a big night. Nominated for six Grammy awards, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year, Frank Ocean might be sniffing that rarefied air known only by those who sweep major awards ceremonies. But, ironically, in admitting his love for a same-sex partner, Frank Ocean will also be an ambassador tonight for a new and gentler hip-hop music industry, one that is more inclusive of same sex unions among men of color. Contrast that with his recent parking lot dust-up with the known hothead Chris Brown, even if her loses tonight, Frank Ocean has already won.
