Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchises have turned out some of Hollywood’s biggest reality stars-turned-true-blue-celebrities, like NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak and Bethenny Frankel. But is “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks working to become the franchise’s next breakout star?
In a recent interview with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, a very pregnant Parks discussed rumors that she’s following in the footsteps of her former “RHOA” cast mate Kim Zolciak and getting her own spin-off show. However, Parks denied the rumors and said she doesn’t want to repeat any of the drama that Zolciak has suffered since getting her own show.
“I don’t want my mama suing me. I don’t want my parents disowning me because of a TV show,” said Parks, referencing previous news that Zolciak’s parents were suing her. “I don’t want to have to fight with my husband or my mama.”
In Parks’ eyes, being on “RHOA” has already cost her enough privacy and she’s not ready to give up more.
“First of all, everyone sees enough of our life already and it’s very invasive. You don’t have a lot of privacy just on being on the ‘Housewives’ in general. There always has to be some drama,” said Parks.
And besides protecting her privacy, Parks explains that she wants to protect her family unit as well.
“Doing the ‘Housewives’ is plenty of drama,” she said. “I love my family. We get along, and I want to keep having a healthy relationship. If I did a show, I definitely would not have my family in it.”
Well, Parks may not be getting her own show, but with the success of her recently released “Phine Body” workout DVD she’s certainly making quite the name for herself. And she’s not the only one making moves. Check out some other reality stars making major moves below. –nicholas robinson
