Beyonce learned from her mistakes in Dreamgirls and wanted to dig deeper as Etta James in Cadillac Records. It was a much better performance, but the lackluster script caused many to forget the story based on Chess Records. With better vision, Beyonce may have had a chance at sneaking in an Oscar nomination. It was her best opportunity thus far.
