EPMD

One of the best hip-hop group’s in history, EPMD were one of the first groups to gain mainstream radio play while maintaining a hardcore street sound. They also helped to launch the careers of Redman, Keith Murray and Das EFX. But after several business disputes, their relationship turned ugly. Parrish Smith’s home was burglarized in 1991 and the suspects claimed that Erick Sermon paid them to do it. There was no evidence that suggested the claim was true, but the group eventually broke up in 1993. They broke up and reconciled a few more times and are currently doing shows together.
