Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner doesn’t rest on his laurels, the LA-based poet and musician is headed east to partake in Joyce Littel’s 14th Anniversary Edition of “Passion & Poetry.”
“I have done it four times over the years at CenterStage. It’s dope; we sell the venue out. And, the energy and the poets that come through are pretty strong. It’s a great night. It’s an auditorium filled with people who love poetry,” offers BET’s “Reed Between the Lines” co-star.
“Since we met 10 years ago, Joyce has always been encouraging and supporting my poetry. Joyce gets the fact that I am not a celebrity who likes to do poetry. I am a bonafide poet. I respect Joyce and appreciate the fact that she respects me as a poet.”
An avid biker, before he comes to Atlanta to take us on a poetic adventure, Warner will join fellow motorcycle enthusiasts during Daytona Beach Bike Week, where he’ll be riding his own customized Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide – complete with chrome handlebars and wheels.
What is his band Miles Long up to these days?
“We have two CDs out and are feverishly working to have our third one out this summer,” he finishes.
