Anne Pramaggiore, CEO of ComEd, one of the nation’s largest energy providers, gave a review on the company’s current status and vision for the future at a luncheon at the Chicago Club before an audience of multicultural media leaders. This was also an anniversary of sorts for Pramaggiore; this time last year she was named CEO of ComEd, the first woman to ever hold this position.
The luncheon gave real insight on ComEd’s plans for the future, including smart grids, smart meters and new apps for smartphones that would drastically reduce power outages and give better consumer support. Pramaggiore was accompanied by Kevin Brookins, senior vice president of strategy and administration; Fidel Marquez, senior vice president of governmental and external affairs; and Tracie Morris, senior vice president of human resources. Each executive expounded on various aspects of ComEd’s agenda, including: education, community outreach and technological advance
Pramaggiore thanked the multicultural media for its community focus and for disseminating positive information about ComEd. It was refreshing to see the power of diversity in action.
