In 2010 people blasted Gabourey Sidibe after the “Precious” star appeared significantly lighter toned on the cover of ELLE magazine. The criticism was later turned toward the publication who many alleged brightened the actress’ skin in photos for the story. ELLE contends however that “nothing out of the ordinary” was done to the photo.
