Zoe Saldana’s look has been both a thing of praise and controversy over the past year, thanks to her Nina Simone biopic scandal, but fans of the A-list star shouldn’t be surprised if Saldana makes a big change to her look in the future. In a new interview for InStyle Hair, Saldana claims that she’s considering chopping her hair off.
“If I want to chop off my hair, I’ll take scissors and do one side before I even go to the hairdresser,” she said. “It’s all about trusting my instincts. Plus, that way I can’t change my mind!”
“At some point I might just want to chop it all off and go really short,” she added. “I’ll just wake up in the morning and, well … you know.” While cutting off her hair may still be just an idea, Saldana said that is definitely ditching straightening treatment and letting her hair grow naturally.
“It’s been eight months since my last straightening treatment, and I’m going to let it all grow out,” Saldana revealed. “It’s been a long time since I woke up with my hair looking like an Afro. I can’t wait to have that again.”
Well, we’ll just have to wait and see whether Saldana begins rocking a short ‘fro, but she’s not the only star to cut off their famous locks. Check out some other stars who did the big “snip snip” below. – nicholas robinson
