Louisville escaped within the last seconds to hold off the underdogs of the Final Four, Wichita State. In the first semifinal game of the Final Four, held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Louisville and Wichita State battled in a hard fought contest that remained close throughout.
Louisville’s tough defense allowed the squad to prevail in the final minute of the game and the walked away with a 72-68 victory.
Kevin Ware sat on the bench with teammates and cried in his father’s arms after the victory.
