President Barack Obama is raising plenty more eyebrows than sounds of attacks from North Korea. While Kim Jong-un plans for nuclear destruction of the US, Obama was busy being his charismatic self at a recent Democratic fundraiser, where he reportedly shelled out a bunch of compliments to his cabinet.
While speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris, he said, “Second of all, you have to be careful to, first of all, say she is brilliant and she is dedicated and she is tough, and she is exactly what you’d want in anybody who is administering the law, and making sure that everybody is getting a fair shake. She also happens to be by far the best-looking attorney general in the country — Kamala Harris is here. [Applause.] It’s true. Come on. [Laughter.] And she is a great friend and has just been a great supporter for many, many years.”
Apparently, his comment about Harris’ beauty was just a little too much for the public to handle. Many say it was sexist.
Was President Obama wrong for highlighting her looks? Do you think he should have apologized? Folks on Twitter decided to give their input on the situation. Check it out!
