Is Toyota the new King of Cool? One would seem to think so after viewing their new ad spots for the 2013 Toyota Avalon. Armed with the tag line “Only the Name Remains,” the Avalon is kicking butt and taking names with a slick new ad campaign starring heartthrob Idris Elba and “Let’s Stay Together” star Nadine Ellis. Perhaps the only thing cooler than the campaign, which hearkens James Bond-like emotions, is the car itself, which gets a sexy reboot where literally “only the name remains” from its previous incarnation (See what they did there?).
Yes, the Avalon is officially cool, and Toyota deserves the right to hop in the driver’s seat and do a victory lap. We certainly wouldn’t judge them.
