5 reasons LL Cool J and Brad Paisley’s ‘Accidental Racist’ is the worst song of 2013

2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival - Day 2 - Backstage

LL’s willingness to forgive slavery in exchange for not being prejudged for wearing a gold chain

LL Cool J raps, “If you don’t judge my gold chains, I’ll forget the iron chains.” This may be the most cringe worthy moment. LL suggests that 400 years of slavery and 100 more of Jim Crow laws can be forgiven if he, or other black men aren’t judged for wearing a gold chain. It’s ignorant, lazy and pathetic. LL will always be a hip-hop legend, but that lyric is forced and confusing.
