Brad Paisley can’t imagine what it’s like to be black

Brad Paisley sings, “I try to put myself in your shoes and that’s a good place to begin, but it ain’t like I can walk a mile in someone else’s skin.” Paisley attempts to show that he’s searching for ways to understand how it feels to be a minority. Well, if he actually took the time to communicate with more individuals from other races, there wouldn’t be a need to “walk a mile in someone else’s skin.” That line suggests that Paisley doesn’t come in contact with too many people from other races. Being that it’s 2013, he has made the choice to be distant.
