Black man warns woman she shouldn’t walk alone before raping her

utcchey cabaneUtchey Cabane, 27, noticed a woman walking alone. She was leaving work. Cabane made small talk with her before pulling her off the road, holding a box-cutter to her neck and then raping her. The victim told sheriff’s detectives that he apologized to her after he forced himself on her, telling her she should “learn from this situation.” Fortunately for the victim, when her family learned of the situation, they were vigilant and drove around the neighborhood and found Cabane.

After he was chased down by the victim’s relatives, the accused rapist told police that he wanted to in turn press charges against the victim’s family for attacking him. He later confessed and wrote her a letter. It reads in part:

“I didn’t mean to harm you nor make you feel threaten [sic] cause I’m really not that kind of human being,” according to the Orlando Sentinal

When Cabane was arrested and questioned by police, he also told them he was attacked by a number of men and wanted to press charges against them.

He has been charged with sexual battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. This isn’t Cabane’s first assault. He was arrested in 2011 for molesting a young girl at a bus stop. That case was closed with no formal charges made.
