The Boston Marathon attracts runners from 96 countries around the world. It’s a big tradition to run the century old race, since 1897 to be exact. Two explosions were reported at the finish line leaving two dead and nearly two dozen injured. Nearly half of the injured are left with amputated limbs, according to the Boston Police Department.
A Massachusetts General Hospital official describes the injuries as “from a war zone.” Victims are also being treated at Tufts University Hospital.
