Oklahoma City Bombing

Timothy McVeigh

Upset about the FBI’s handling of the Waco Siege in 1992, McVeigh decided to respond by killing other Americans in a terrorist attack. In 1995, McVeigh parked a Ryder truck full of explosives at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The blast killed 168 people (including 19 children) and injured 450 others. McVeigh was executed in 2001.
