T.I. dismisses TMZ’s mention of Boston bomber’s hip-hop tastes

Atlanta rapper T.I. has already had harsh words for TMZ earlier this year after the media site reported that YMCMB superstar Lil Wayne was in a coma and was being read his last rites after Wayne was admitted to Cedars-Sinai for seizures back in March. And now, Tip was quick to check the site for mentioning that one of the Boston bombing suspects frequented a website that some believed had some connection to T.I. The deceased Tamerlan Tsarnaev reportedly often visited Real-HipHop.com.

T.I. stated that he has no affiliation with the site and shared his perspective that hip-hop does nothing to breed terrorism in anyone.

“Hip hop narrates the activity and conditions of our culture,” he told TMZ. “It doesn’t create them.”

“Hip hop ain’t never been about hurting innocent people,” T.I. said. “[The bombing] was a horrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the families involved.”
