According to rapper Consequence after brawling with Joe Budden he discovered the rapper’s cellphone that he dropped in the melee. After looking through it he was “disgusted” to find steamy text messages between Budden and a person named Derrick. “We live in New York. It’s 2013,” said Consequence. “We never met anyone named Derek on any episode so I think we should make ‘Who’s Derek’ trending topic.” Joe later said that he changed the named of a woman in his phone to Derrick to hide it from his then girlfriend Kaylin Garcia.
