The Italian fashion brand Marni, founded by Consuelo Casiglioni, launched its first perfume, Marni. It was created by perfumer Daniela Andrier in collaboration with the founder of Marni and Estee Lauder.

Unlike other popular perfumes, Marni does not have a flowery or fruity scent. It is more spicy and woody with a darker feel. Casiglioni claims that “The perfume is quite individualistic … It is for a woman who dresses for herself and is also maybe a little eccentric.”

Notes:

Marni’s notes consist of bergamot, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, pink pepper, rose, incense, vetiver, cedar and patchouli. It has average longevity.

Packaging:

Of the bottle, the designer said, “I wanted a bottle that was kind of traditional, so that it lasts over time, like the clothes we make. It isn’t seasonal and reflects our concepts.”

Marni is available in 30, 60 and 125ml eau de parfum. A mini purse bottle comes with a small doll.

Is Marni for you?

This scent if for a bold woman who seeks individuality. It is distinct, unique and sensual.
