The Plaid Runway Report
Reem Accra gave us beautiful knee length, wrap-around dresses in black and white hounds tooth. Philip Lim paired checkered plaid with black leather to create fierce feminist styles. The Marc Jacobs and Emerson runways were graced by blue, red, yellow and black plaid patterns, as well. YSL and Prada, the ultimate authorities for what’s in vogue, also showcased plaid. Their shows showcased the fabric in the form of classic tailored suites and full skirts. Thom Browne and Stella McCartney gave us bold and colorful looks in boxy shapes.
Plaid was also paired well with denim cutoffs, lace minis and dark leather slacks on the runway, proving that classics are always in vogue.
Your wardrobe can do well with a dose of plaid jackets, dresses and trousers this season. Get a few pieces and mix and match them to your heart’s content! Plaid jackets are a sure fire way to update your wardrobe for 2013. These go well with everything.
