There was a time when celebrity sex tapes were viewed as an embarrassment to the parties involved. However, mediocre celebrities are now using sex tapes for financial gain and fame.
According to reports, MTV’s “Teen Mom” star, Farrah Abraham, will receive $1 million after selling her sex tape to Vivid Entertainment. The video will likely be called, “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.”
Abraham, 21, initially denied the existence of a sex tape and later admitted it was only for private use.
However, the man who appears in the film, porn star James Dean, says that the sex tape was basically a plot for Abraham to get more money and increase her celebrity.
“If you’re going to make a celebrity sex tape and try to pass it off as an amateur home video, you don’t hire a well-known porn star.” Dean said. “You hire some random dude.”
Dean also said that producers of the sex tape wanted to make it appear as if he dated Abraham. “They wanted to send us out on a date and then call the tabloids to come,” Dean said. “I told them I am not a prostitute and I’m not going to go on fake dates with people for the tabloids.”
Apparently, Abraham hopes to follow in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian.
