Not sure if it’s a crime of passion or just good old fashion revenge but a pair of prostitutes from New Mexico, Ashlee Gurule, 20, and Jennifer McKee, 18, have been charged in the death of Maurice Gonzalez, 51. He was found dead in his silver Dodge Avenger on the same day he was due in court to answer to aggravated assault charges, on Friday, May 3.
He was stabbed to death in his Albuquerque apartment. Two weeks prior, he threatened ex-girlfriend Donalda Shortman and a friend with a knife when Shortman showed up at his apartment to gather her belongings. She told police he was “kicking her out” and she was “afraid Gonzales was going to kill her.”
