The iconic troubadour’s late-career resurgence began with 1997s Time of Mind, but this release proved that that stroke of genius was no fluke. A celebration of the blues and folk tradition from whence he came, Dylan’s 31st album was a showcase for his uncanny wit and scathing critique, though the target of most of his barbs was himself.
