Having paid their dues on the Detroit indie rock scene for years, Jack and Meg White broke through on their third album. Recorded in less than a week, this album introduced much of the public to the Stripes’ sound:  eclectic songwriting bolstered by Meg’s primal drumming and Jack’s blistering blues-and-punk based guitar.
