“The New Normal,” along with several other shows on NBC including “Smash” with Jennifer Hudson, will not be brought back for another season. “The New Normal” is centered on the lives of two gay men who are starting a family. “The New Normal” had great reviews and received the Favorite New TV Comedy prize at the People’s Choice Awards. Despite all this, the show still did not generate enough ratings to stay on air. Leakes has remained both positive and supportive throughout the whole thing. This is not the last time you can see NeNe, she still will be on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Glee” and in the fall on her own show titled, “I Dream of NeNe.”
