Chicago rapper Chief Keef is no stranger to controversy. Actually, Keef and controversy are close enough to be BFFs.
The 17-year old was recently arrested in Atlanta for smoking marijuana. He allegedly owes child support to a young woman he fathered a baby with when he was only 15. He was recently released from a juvenile detention center after serving 60 days for violating his probation. He was on probation after being charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He mocked and was later implicated in the murder of fellow Chicago teen rapper Lil JoJo. He posted explicit Instagram pics of himself and a young woman engaged in sex acts.
So there’s a lot about Chief Keef that disturbs people.
But pop superstar Katy Perry has become the latest outspoken critic of the polarizing rap star and his music. She didn’t mention Keef by name, but she tweeted that she recently heard his single “Hate Being Sober,” and offered brief commentary.
