Philadelphia Eagles has fired his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus is one of the leading agents in sports and currently has over 40 clients.
However, Jackson discontinued his business relationship with Rosenhaus and hopes to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. Jackson, who was the Eagles leading receiver in 2012, signed a $51 million contract with $15 million guaranteed last summer. Due to NFL rules, he will have to wait five days before signing with a new agent.
Jay-Z has hot the ground running since opening his Roc Nation Sports agency earlier this year. He has since signed Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees, Skylar Diggins of the WNBA and New York Jets QB Geno Smith.
Jay-Z is currently being investigated by the NFL Player’s Association because of his involvement with Smith. NFL rules state that only certified agents can be involved in negotiations with talent. Jay-Z, who isn’t a licensed agent yet, took a photo with Smith and could be reprimanded.
Roc Nation Sports is in a partnership with CAA. With partnership, CAA handles the contract negotiations and Roc Nation handles the marketing.
