The north suburban Dallas chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. sponsored their annual fundraiser and charity event in style at Neiman Marcus, Willowbend location. The mothers of Jack & Jill along with the teens hosted a magnificent brunch, silent auction and fashion show that featured all models of color (model Nina Boen featured in white dress above). Neiman Marcus representative Karen Jackson provided the gorgeous fashions, including shoes and accessories.
The late Marion Stubbs Thomas founded Jack and Jill of America Incorporated on Jan. 24, 1938 in Philadelphia. Twenty mothers came together to discuss creating an organization to provide social, cultural and educational opportunities for youth between the ages of two and nineteen. Through service projects, Jack and Jill of America creates a medium of contact for children to stimulate their growth and development.
This year represents a huge milestone for the organization, which will celebrate its 75th anniversary, says chapter president, Loretta Taylor. She also shares that partial proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Sisters Network, which assists mothers and families of women with breast cancer.
