Few other hip-hop beefs have been bigger this past year than Drake and Chris Brown’s ongoing feud. The feud reached a fever pitch last year when the two artists brawled in a New York nightclub over their mutual ex, Rihanna. Although Brown has made it clear that he’s going to continue to blast Drake, the Young Money emcee claims that he just wants to sit down with Brown and squash the beef.
“I wish we could sit down, just like we are right now and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen,” said Drake in his new cover story for the July issue of GQ.
Drake explained that he doesn’t want another confrontation with Brown, but if it happens, he’s not going to run away.
“I’m not confrontational but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly … like, it gets really dark,” Drake said.
Hopefully, Drake’s wish will come true in the near future and he and Brown can once and for all bring an end to their feud, especially considering the breakup between Rihanna and Brown and the fact the last time Brown and Drake had a confrontation, several innocent bystanders were injured.
